Defence has issued a Request for Information (RfI) for the Maritime Helicopter Replacement project.
“The Request for Information is a market research tool to support next steps and provides an opportunity for industry to provide information on options. It will be seeking proposals for both naval helicopters and Uncrewed Aerial Vehicles,” says Richard Schmidt, Deputy Secretary, Defence Policy and Planning.
“No decisions have been made or capital committed for the project.”
The Defence Capability Plan 2019 outlines that a new fleet of maritime helicopters are required and that the replacement has an indicative capital cost of more than $1 billion.
