The 2016 Major Projects Report provides information about Defence's management of projects during the year 1 July 2015 - 30 June 2016. The 2016 Report contains 11 projects, and is the seventh report produced by Defence.

The Report is presented in four parts. Volume 1 contains Part 1 and Part 2.
Part 1 provides an assessment of Defence's management of the projects with respect to schedule, cost and capability. Part 1 also provides comments on what Defence is doing to improve its performance in managing projects.
Part 2 provides project summaries for the 11 projects, which provide descriptions of the projects' policy objectives, capability requirements, current status, active high-level risks, recent developments and financial performance.
